I uncovered this rare 1-3 million years old Honey Calcite Crystal Fossilized Clam from the only known source in the world, Rucks Pit in Okeechobee, FL. This extremely rare Triple Honey Calcite Clam sits all by itself on the sediments in which the transformation occurred!
The site is owned & operated by world renowned geologist Eddie Rucks! Eddie is absolutely brilliant. I cherish the infrequent moments I get to dig alongside him because he shares his knowledge and personal stories. I’m also grateful he allowed me to see his personal rock collection!
Every visit begins with a warm welcome from “Donk”. Eddie rescued an infant donkey in South America some years back and he now guards and greets visitors of Ruck’s Pit(farm).
