The Razer Huntsman Elite is an opto-mechanical keyboard, meaning the key activation uses light instead of relying on contact between metal pieces. It has the Razer purple switches, which are clicky and tactile. It is a full sized keyboard with per-key lighting as well as lighting around the edge of the keyboard and the included wrist rest, which is a soft leatherette that attaches magnetically to the keyboard. The lighting is fully customizable with the Razer Synapse software. The keyboard has an aluminum top plate and two sets of feet that give it 3 different heights.
The keyboard comes pre-installed with the Razer Phantom Keycaps, which upgrades the keycaps with a stealthier design that lets the RGB shine around the keys, instead of just through the top (the original keycap set is also included with your purchase, in the keycap box).
I took very good care of the keyboard, so none of the keycaps are worn down, and I cleaned it regularly.
