Large mid-century Mar-crest barrel-shaped covered stoneware Cookie jar in a rich dark brown. Made in USA.
Features the well known Daisy Dot pattern. The lid rest on top of the jar (not air tight). Unglazed bottom incised with the common Mar-crest logo. Looks like jar says “Lookies.”
Measures approximately 8.5”T with lid and 6.5”W at the top rim.
In very good preowned condition. Very solid piece with no cracks.
A couple of small chips on the edge of the lid. See photos. May be a couple of small chips inside the rim from use.
Normal glazing flaws that are common with this type of pottery.
Solidly made weighing almost 6 pounds!
