Welcome! Thank you for your interest in this vintage, Boston Champion, pinch feed, pencil sharpener. It has the wood crank knob not plastic which I believe is the older style (50s). I tested it out and it works fine. At first the crank turned hard but with a little WD-40 it loosened up nicely. The bottom is missing two,small black foot pads (see last image) which could be replaced very easily. A great collectible for display or actual use.
