ONE Water Sprite Laceleaf Easy beginner Freshwater aquarium plant

Water sprite is one of the easiest, fastest-growing plants for aquariums. It's fluffy texture is perfect for sheltering a betta from water movement or raising baby fish (fry) in a safe place from larger fish. This plant prefers to float, but you can train it to grow from the substrate.

This plant grows slowly but robustly with low-medium lighting. In a new aquarium, we recommend adding liquid fertilizer if you attach this plant to decor or root fertilizer if you plant it in the substrate. In an established aquarium, there will already be plenty of nutrients in the water and substrate.

It is typical for this plant to completely lose most of its leaves and regrow new leaves in your aquarium. During this "melting" phase, it is possible to leave it floating in a clear glass bowl of used aquarium water near a sunny window for a few days. This prevents the dying leaves from clogging your filter.
