This extraordinary brooch is completely encrusted with Austrian clear crystal rhinestones, all prong set.
At the center there is a teardrop and oval shaped rhinestone - round rhinestones comprise the rest.
The three dimensional design of this brooch makes it so unique - even the champagne "bubbles" (prong set rhinestones set on wires) extend and "float" above the glass.
The brooch is signed "Bauer" on the back and is a great example of Dorothy Bauer's sculptural style of jewelry design.
It is from the 1980s and made in the United States from high quality materials and has high quality craftsmanship.
This would be perfect to celebrate a special occasion with, either to wear or as a special gift. A lovely and highly collectible brooch!
